Congratulations to Advanced Studio on a successful art opening. The Advanced Studio Class did a fantastic job showcasing and discussing their artwork at the best attended show yet. This was an impressive show featuring a majority of drawings and paintings, as well as some ceramic work. A special thank you to all of our guests, including current art students and alumni, for supporting our NCHS artists! Best wishes to our senior artists, you will be missed!

Biggest Art Show of the Year: Friday, May 17th, 2019

Everyone is invited to the Advanced Studio Art Show featuring the work of Megan Christian, Emma Davidson, Alyssa Gittins, Sienna Skelton, Miraya Smith, Connor Swanson, and Marissa Williams on Friday, May 17th, 2019 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Newark's Charles B. Phillips Public Library. This is a one-time-only, end-of-the-semester art show, staged in an open house format. The show an opportunity to see original artwork created by advanced art students, and meet the artists. Attending opening night is a fantastic way to support these artists! Hope to see you there!

Art Department Student of the 3rd Quarter

Newark Community High School is proud to provide a Student of the Quarter program to recognize individual students for their efforts and/or accomplishments. This award recognizes one student (9-12) from each department for his or her outstanding performance throughout the nine-week period. Congratulations to Emma Davidson for being awarded Art Department Student of the Quarter! Emma was awarded for her contributions to the class. Way to go, Emma!

Congratulations to our Advanced Studio artists on a successful show! The Advanced Studio Class did an outstanding job showcasing and discussing their artwork at our thirteenth annual art exhibit held at the Charles B. Phillips Library. This was an impressive show - featuring a majority of ceramic work, as well as imaginative drawings and paintings. Your hard work and dedication throughout the semester was truly reflected in the show. Best wishes to our seniors, as you will be missed in the art department next year. A special thank you to all of our guests, including administration, faculty/staff, community, friends, families, and our NCHS artist alumni, for supporting our artists!

March 24, 2017 2017 Art Expo

Newark High Schools Advanced Studio class would like to invite you to the Art Expo at the Newark library on May 19 from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. This art show is important to the students because they have had an entire semester to work on their project, and they get a show to display their talent. The students are required to spend at least an hour outside of class every day on their project. The 2017 Advanced Studio class is very excited to show off all of their hard work from the class, and we hope to see you there!

Congratulations to Advanced Studio on a successful art show. A wonderfully diverse art exhibit- from drawings and paintings, to working water fountains - this was by far the best-attended opening yet. Your hard work and dedication was truly reflected in the show. It was so nice to see all of our guests, including our Advanced Studio alumni, present to support our NCHS artists!
