Art I Extreme Makeover: Room Edition

The gallery exhibits the Art I students' final drawing projects for the year, where they were asked to design their dream room using two-point perspective. This project was the final assessment for the Spring 2021 semester, requiring students to plan, illustrate and present their interior designs in a single final drawing.

Two-point perspective drawing is a technique that enables artists to represent three-dimensional space on a two-dimensional surface, involving mathematical concepts like lines, planes, rays, angles, similarity, and congruence. The use of perspective drawing helps artists connect the principles of mathematics and visual art. Drawings were assessed on various criteria, such as perspective accuracy, amount of detail, neatness, and originality. This project aimed to highlight the students' proficiency in perspective drawing, their creativity, and their ability to apply mathematical concepts in visual art.
