Paintings from Observation

The following paintings are the culmination of the Painting Class' unit on still life painting. Painting from observation is like learning a new language, especially in the digital age. It involves a coordination of the eye and the hand that requires tremendous concentration and practice. Students must become keen observers of light, shadow and color tone.
